How Can You Improve Your Focus?

  1. Decide what your priorities are first.
  2. Don’t jumble too many things together at once. According to what you think is most necessary at a time, allot time and energy to the tasks. If you think your yoga session is more important than your french classes in your busy schedule, you can spend more energy on the former and do the latter at a minimum.

  3. Pick the peak productivity time for yourself!
  4. If you are a morning person, dedicate your morning while you're still fresh and energetic to completing the main task(s) at hand. Finish your project before you get too distracted. If you’re a night owl, take the day to finish the trivial tasks and focus with silence and peace at night.

  5. Don’t get distracted.
  6. Yes, easier said than done. But if you really want to achieve something it's on you to see to it that you’re on track. Others can only push you but the steps have to be taken by you. Put that TV series on hold. Quit your gaming guild for a while. Give your undivided attention to the work that needs to be done. Once again, decide first what your main goal is, don’t juggle too many things at once.

  7. Start small.
  8. No one is expected to sit six hours straight on their very first day of trying. Start with 20 mins, 30 mins, take a break, then get back to work again.

  9. Get adequate sleep and rest!
  10. It is vital to have a healthy sleep cycle in order to have the energy to concentrate and focus on tasks. It does no good to overextend yourself and not sleep enough to recover fully for the next day.
